This month in history (74 years ago)

IIn December 1937 Michigan Union Taproom lunch patrons could choose escalloped salmon with potato or vegetable, and rolls or bread for 39 cents. Or, they could select one of three choices for 29 cents: egg salad, chili con carne or a grilled veal chop and noodles, accompanied by a salad or desert. Coffee, tea or milk were included.
