This month in history (10 years ago)

In a somber program Sept. 19, 2001, at Hill Auditorium, eight days after the terrorist attacks, nearly 800 from the university and local community listened to panelists in a program titled “Terrorism and Globalization: International Perspectives.”  Glenda Dickerson, director of the Center for World Performance Studies, read a quote from “For My People” by Margaret Walker: “Let a new earth rise.
