Alain Mailland’s “Stone Eater,” 2000, is from the exhibit Out of the Ordinary: Selections from the Bohlen Wood Art and Fusfeld Folk Art Collections, through June 26 at the U-M Museum of Art. The exhibit presents a range of contemporary artworks fashioned from wood and includes works that explore traditional and nontraditional vessel forms as well as works that are more purely sculptural.
