‘Patchwork Nation’ director to visit U-M

The director of the PBS project “Patchwork Nation,” will speak at the Ford School of Public Policy at 4 p.m. Oct. 22nd in the Betty Ford Classroom, Room 1110 Weill Hall. Dante Chinni, author of the recently released “Our Patchwork Nation: The Surprising Truth about the Real America,” has covered politics and the media for more than 10 years. He has worked at Newsweek, the Project for Excellence in Journalism and the Christian Science Monitor. Patchwork Nation is funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and hosted by The Christian Science Monitor. Chinni is a Detroit native who graduated from Michigan State University.
