Photo: UMS brings Trio Mediaeval to campus Nov. 16

Trio Mediaeval was founded in Oslo in 1997 to sing music written before 1500, but the group discovered there were parallels with the minimialist sounds of the 21st century. Now the sopranos specialize in a diverse repertoire ranging from polyphonic music of England and France to contemporary works. The Nov. 16 performance at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church includes William Brooks’ “Six Mediaeval Lyrics.” For tickets call 764-2538 or go to www.ums.org. (Photo by C.F. Wesenberg)
