Janet Johnson (from left), Terri Torkko, Barb Hochrein and Mary Quigley, all of the School of Social Work, show off some of the toys they have collected for the Toys for Tots program. They will accept toys at 3680 School of Social Work Building until Dec. 16, when the toys will be picked up by representatives of the United States Marine Corps.
Quigley and her colleagues have been participating in the Toys for Tots program for the past three years and hope to collect more each year to brighten the season for children. Anyone who would like to donate a new, unopened toy this year can reach Quigley at 936-1964. Photo by Rebecca A. Doyle

Russian architects tour campus
Eleven architects visited the U-M Ann Arbor campus last month as part of the Productivity Enhancement Program of the Rotary Clubs of Midland, Saginaw, Mt. Pleasant and Bay City. Here, they tour the underground library at the Law School, part of the tour of Central Campus. Anatole Senkevitch, associate professor of architecture at the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning and of history of art, led the tour. ‘Riveters’ honor dentistry veterans
Current and former School of Dentistry faculty members who served in the armed forces were honored in a Veteran’s Day program last month. Produced by four Rosie the Riveters—staff members (from left) Cara Voss, Cathy Kraus, Diane McFarland and Tina Pryor—the program featured music from different eras during the past 50 years, and a look at some of the lifestyle changes that have occurred, including the entry of women into the workforce. Poet, students combine efforts in walk-through opera
