Mail Service announces holiday schedule

The University Record, November 8, 1999 Limited or no mail service will be provided on the following dates:

  • Nov. 25. The United States Postal Service (USPS) and University Mail Service will be closed.

  • Nov. 26. The USPS will be open, but will not be providing service to U-M buildings. The Mail Service will be closed.

  • Dec. 9. There will be no afternoon pick-up or delivery by UMS.

  • Dec. 17. The deadline for buildings to submit requests to the Mail Service for USPS mail delivery during University seasonal days, Dec. 27–30. Requests must be submitted in writing.

  • Dec. 22. Standard permit mail to be processed and mailed by the end of the year must be at UMS by 5 p.m.

  • Dec. 23. Mail must be at the Mail Service by 1 p.m. in order to be postmarked before Dec. 25.

  • Dec. 27–30. The USPS will be open, but will not provide service to the University buildings unless written requests are made by Dec. 17. For metering needs during seasonal days, contact Mail Service.

  • Dec. 31. USPS will be open, but will not provide service to University buildings. UMS will be closed.

  • Jan. 1, 2000. USPS will be closed.

    received to ensure delivery by Dec. 24.
