14 researchers promoted
From the Office of the Vice President for Research
Fourteen U-M researchers have received promotions, effective Sept. 1.
“The dossiers supporting the 14 promotions of primary research faculty this year provide sound evidence of the valuable role of these individuals in the research mission of the University,” said Frederick C. Neidhardt, vice president for research. “I am impressed with the rigor of the reviews applied by the individual units and by the documentation of each individual’s achievements.”
The researchers, their new positions and their units are:
LS&A: Jeffrey Alt, research scientist, geological sciences; Christiane Anderson, research scientist, Herbarium; Donald Roberts, associate research scientist, physics.
Medical School: Thomas Brock, assistant research scientist, internal medicine; Edward Ficaro, assistant research scientist, internal medicine; William Nichols, assistant research scientist, internal medicine; Juan Lopez, assistant research scientist, Mental Health Research Institute; John Bentley, assistant research scientist, pharmacology; Boklye Kim, assistant research scientist, radiology.
School of Natural Resources and Environment: Gregory Keoleian, associate research scientist.
Office of the Vice President for Research: Richard Goldstein, associate research scientist, Biophysics Research Division; Christoph Schmidt, associate research scientist, Biophysics Research Division; Robert Dennis, assistant research scientist, Institute of Gerontology; Dan McConnell, assistant research scientist, Reproductive Sciences Program.
