Campaign celebration is Sept. 25-27

The University Record, September 17, 1997

The University will close its five-year, $1 billion capital campaign with celebration activities across campus Sept. 25-27. With two exceptions, the events are by invitation only. Activities related to the dedication of Tisch Hall and the Tisch Tennis Facility (see related article) and open houses and tours of campaign-funded buildings are open to the public. The open houses will be held 9 a.m.-noon Sept. 27 at the Huetwell Visitors Center, Student Activities Building; the Cancer and Geriatrics Centers Building, Medical Center; Lurie Engineering Center and Lurie Tower, North Campus; and the School of Social Work Building at the southwest corner of North University and South University, across from the Engineering Arch.

One of the Sept. 26 by-invitation events will be held at the Power Center for the Performing Arts that morning. There will be no parking on Fletcher Street that day, and the street will be closed 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

The Record will cover the celebration events and report on them in the Oct. 1 issue.
