The University Record, July 16, 1997

A student-built U-M-Dearborn robotic golf cart placed third in design and sixth in field competitions out of 25 schools from around the world at the Ground Robotics Competition held this spring at Oakland University. The unmanned golf cart, shown here with electrical and computing engineering students (from left) Mike Beauvais, Chris Kreucher, Randy DeFauw and driver Craig Cornwall, carried three cameras, ultrasound sensors and a computer to help drive around obstacles in a 600-foot course.
