Work/Family Life series continues

The Work/Family/Life series of presentations, sponsored by the Center for the Education of Women (CEW) and the Family Care Resources Program, is designed to stimulate dialogue on how women, men and their families can balance the multiple roles they play.

The series continues noon-2 p.m. March 11 with “Women and Children: Lives on the Edge,” a presentation of faculty research on issues that affect the lives of women and young children. Valerie Polakow, professor of education at Eastern Michigan University; Philip Bowman, associate professor of human development and social policy at Northwestern University; and Peggy Kahn, associate professor of political science and coordinator of the Women and Gender Studies Program at the U-M-Flint will present their very different perspectives.

Other programs in the series are:

“Linking Work/Life/Family Issues to Continuous Organizational Development,” 3-5 p.m. March 21, Center for the Education of Women.

“Balancing Work, Family and the BIG Secret: Shared Voices of Lesbian Moms, Lesbian Partners,” 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. April 4, G115 Angell Hall.

“On Balance: Getting There from Here,” 8:30 a.m.-noon April 25, Koessler Room, Michigan League.
