ISR hosts ethnic buffet
An elegant ethnic buffet consisting of collard greens with bacon in phyllo triangles, empanadas, stuffed grape leaves, cucumber kimchi, chicken sate and shrimp star fruit fritters, among other fancy finger foods provided by North Campus Catering, drew a lunch-time crowd to the Institute for Social Research (ISR) on Jan. 20, as part of the celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Speakers Edward Gramlich, dean of the School of Public Policy, education Prof. Michael Nettles and Wayne State University psychology Prof. Ronald Brown sampled the fare and shared a few words before taking part in the panel discussion on `Social Science and Public Policy’ with profs. Ann Lin and Sheldon Danziger.
