Lurie lights up the night
Weather held and crowds thronged to North Campus last week to watch the new Ann and Robert H. Lurie Tower dedicated. Fireworks, a laser light display and performances on the new carrillon by both Margo Halsted and Ray McClelland welcomed the new bell tower. A Friday dedication of the Robert H. Lurie Engineering Center Building was less spectacular, but as meaningful. The two buildings will ‘create a sense of community on North Campus,’ says Stephen W. Director, dean of the College of Engineering.
