Jesse Jackson to visit campus Monday
Jesse Jackson will visit campus Mon. (Sept. 23) as part of a statewide voter registration drive. He is expected to speak at 1:15 p.m. in Hill Auditorium in a free, public program.
His talk will be preceded by several student speakers beginning at 12:30 p.m. Tables will be set up to allow people to register to vote.
The visit is sponsored by a coalition of campus and community organizations and the Washtenaw County chapter of the Rainbow Coalition.
Jackson is making several area stops Sept. 23, including visits to Eastern Michigan University, Willow Run High School and Oakland Community College.
