Registrar’s Office staff win award

The staff of the Office of the Registrar has received the Staff of the Year Award from the Michigan Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (MACRAO). The office will display a plaque, and individual staff members received certificates to commemorate their accomplishments.

University Registrar Laura M. Patterson’s nomination praised the staff for continuing to provide excellent service while adapting to changes in the workplace. “During the past two years the Office of the Registrar has redefined its mission and has completed a transformation of services, systems and structure. The successful implementation of these systems and the resulting dramatic impact on our customers has been accomplished only through the dedication and outstanding team effort of the entire staff in the office,” she wrote in nominating the staff.

The U-M was one of eight teams nominated for the award. MACRAO is an association of registrars and admissions officers from all two-year and four-year public and private colleges and universities in Michigan.
