Five engineering graduate students receive outstanding instructor awards

Five graduate students in the College of Engineering have received Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor awards. The American Society for Engineering Education, with support from the Office of the Dean of the College of Engineering, presents these awards annually to graduate students in the College for outstanding performance as a graduate student instructor.

Winners, picked by a committee of faculty and students, receive a certificate and $500. The following are this year’s recipients and the courses with which they were associated: Eric Brock, Chemical Engineering 230; William Cosnowski Jr., Engineering 103; James LaFave, Civil and Environmental Engineering 415; Sanjay Patel, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science 100; and Sandy Robertson, Chemical Engineering 342. Ali Ghalib and Hee-Jin Park received Honorable Mentions.
