Seminar series focuses on responsibility
in conduct of research

The Office of the Vice President for Research and the Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies have inaugurated an annual series of information and discussion sessions on responsibility in the conduct and administration of research. The sessions cover topics mandated by the National Institutes of Health and will contain the basic elements to allow further exploration of these issues.

Sessions are free and open to all faculty, students and staff. Prior registration is strongly encouraged to facilitate planning and to ensure that sufficient copies of materials are available. Each session will be presented twice to improve the chances that interested individuals can fit the session into their calendar.

“Professional Conduct and Misconduct” will be coordinated by Bruce Rutherford, professor of cariology, restorative sciences and endodontics. The session will be presented first 4&endash;6 p.m. today (Feb. 13) in the Vandenberg Room, Michigan League. It will be

repeated 7&endash;9 p.m. Feb. 21 in Rackham Amphitheater. For information and registration, call 763-1289 or e-mail [email protected].
