M-Stores urges all departments to check loading dock and lab areas before Oct. 2 for gas cylinders that may have been abandoned or forgotten.
Cryogenic Gases and M-Stores are co-sponsoring a reclamation project for all cryogenic gas cylinders Oct. 2–Oct. 13. Unwanted gas cylinders can be returned free of charge during this time.
Cylinders must be taken to dock areas, where Cryogenic Gases will pick them up and return them to the correct vendors.
M-Stores would like to remind all departments that, according to Department of Transportation regulations, all gas cylinders must be tested every five to 10 years, depending on the kind of gas. All tanks with a test date prior to 1985 must be returned. Test dates are inscribed on the tank just below the neck.
