Three U-M publications win CASE awards in 1995 competition

Several U-M staff have received publications awards in competition sponsored by the Council for Advancement and support of Education (CASE).

Four staff members in the Medical Center Department of Marketing Communications shared first-place honors for their work on Healthwise, a 70,000-circulation community publication. Jeffrey J. Walker, former director of marketing; Kallie Bila Michels, editor; Judalyn Greer Seling, senior art director; and Linda Murray Bidlack, art director received a gold medal in the external audience newsletter category.

Two staff members in the Medical Center Department of Public Relations received second-place honors for their work in Advance, a referring physician/medical alumni magazine. Managing editor Kristen Lidke Finn and staff writer Margo Schneidman shared a silver medal in the periodical staff writing category.

Michigan Today received a bronze medal in the Best Articles of the Year category. John Woodford, executive editor, and Linda Walker were cited for Walker’s article, “The Suspension of Jam Handy.”
