Spring MQR features essay on Fulton’s works

An essay on the poetry of English Prof. Alice Fulton highlights the works of more than a dozen scholars and writers featured in the spring 1995 issue of Michigan Quarterly Review (MQR).

Published by the U-M, MQR contains essays, poetry, fiction, memoirs, reviews and graphics.

“Distortion, Explosion, Embrace: The Poetry of Alice Fulton,” written by Emily Grosholz, poet and Pennsylvania State University philosophy professor, explores the language and meaning of Fulton’s works.

Also featured are Prof. Emeritus David Noel Freedman’s review of the new edition of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Love of the Last Tycoon: A Western, the poetry of Douglas Woodsum and the fiction of Ingrid Hill, both former Hopwood Award winners.

Others whose works appear in MQR include Bay Anapol, J.D. Brown, Vanni Cappelli, Kathy Fagan, Roger Gilbert, Charles Gullans, Philip Kobylarz, Edward Morin, Elias Miguel Munoz and Ilan Stavans.

The spring 1995 edition of MQR is available in local bookstores and in the MQR office in Room 3032, Rackham Building. For more information, call 764-9265.
