The U-M-Dearborn is ranked third among regional universities in the Midwest in a U.S. News & World Report rating of schools that offer the “best value.” The ratings are published in the magazine’s Oct. 3 issue.
This is the first time that the magazine has ranked the schools that provide the best values, or “quality education at relatively reasonable cost.”
The magazine devised its best values rankings “in an effort to provide families with a realistic measure of value by relating the cost of attending an institution to the quality of education,” according to a statement from U.S. News.
“We’re gratified that U-M-Dearborn is being recognized as one of the best values in higher education in the Midwest,” says Robert L. Simpson, U-M-Dearborn vice chancellor for academic affairs. “Our mission is to serve southeastern Michigan through the provision of a highly motivated and talented student body, at a reasonable tuition.”
