Bus Schedules

Summarized below are the bus services that are available to students, faculty and staff. Complete schedules are available on the buses and at these locations: Campus Information Center, Michigan Union; Michigan League; Bursely Hall; Housing Office, Student Activities Building; and the Family Housing Office on North Campus. Nite Owl maps/schedules are available at the Union, the League, the Housing Office and the Undergraduate Library.

Commuter Service

Commuter bus service runs between Crisler Arena, Central Campus and the Medical Center. Service is provided Monday–Friday at 15-minute intervals 6:45 a.m.– 6:16 p.m., with some exceptions and excluding holiday periods.

North Commuter Service

The North Commuter bus services the Glazier Way commuter lot near the corner of Huron Parkway and Glazier Way, the Hubbard/Hayward parking lots, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Building, Cooley Lab, North Campus Commons, the Medical Center and Central Campus. Buses run Monday–Friday at 15-minute intervals, starting at the Glazier Way lot at 6:45 a.m. The last bus leaves the Exhibit Museum at 6:15 p.m. The North Commuter does not operate during holiday periods.

Daily Service to Bursley-Baits and Northwood

The Bursley-Baits route connects the Bursley and Baits housing facilities with the Medical Center and the main bus stop on Central Campus. The Northwood route connects the Northwood housing facilities with the Medical Center and the main bus stop on Central Campus while also providing service to the Hubbard/Hayward parking lot near Huron Parkway. Both routes run at 10-minute intervals 7 a.m.– 7 p.m., with some exceptions. After 7 p.m., the Bursley-Baits route runs at 15-minute intervals until 12:15 a.m., and the Northwood route runs at 20-minute intervals until midnight. Beginning at 12:40 a.m., service to Bursley, Baits and Northwood is combined as the North Campus route.

Service to North Campus Late Evenings, Weekends and Holidays

The North Campus route is a combination of the Bursley-Baits and Northwood routes. Service is provided weekdays at 20-minute intervals 12:40 a.m.–2 a.m. (3 a.m. on Fridays). During weekends and holiday recesses, service is generally provided at 20-minute intervals 7 a.m.–2 a.m. (until 3 a.m. on Saturdays, midnight on holidays). Buses on regular routes are lift-equipped after 7 p.m. seven days per week.

Nite Owl

Fall service began Sept. 4, running fixed routes providing safe transportation to many housing facilities on Central Campus and to the main North Campus bus stop. North and South routes leave the Undergraduate Library every 30 minutes 7 p.m.–9:30 p.m., every 20 minutes 9:30 p.m.–12:30 a.m., and every 30 minutes 12:30–2 a.m. This service is lift-equipped and operates only during class and exam periods. There is no service during semester breaks or holiday recesses.

Service After Hours: Glazier Way and Ride Home

Glazier Ride is a free taxi ride to the Glazier Way commuter lot. A ride may be booked by presenting staff or student ID to desk personnel at the North Campus Commons administrative offices on the second floor of the Commons, 7:30 p.m.–2 a.m. seven days per week, or at the Engineering Library Circulation Desk 7:30 p.m.–2 a.m. Sunday–Thursday and 7:30 p.m.–midnight Friday and Saturday.

Ride Home is a free taxi ride to your door from campus, within Ann Arbor city limits. A ride may be booked for students and staff 2–5 a.m. from the Undergraduate Library Circulation Desk and 2–7 a.m. from the North Campus Commons administrative offices, seven days per week.

Paratransit

Paratransit bus service is available to students and staff with permanent or temporary disabilities. Service is offered 7:20 a.m.–10:20 p.m. Monday–Friday, and 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Saturday.

Holiday Periods

During holiday recesses, other than the December holiday recess, the North Campus weekend schedule is in effect. A separate winter break schedule for the December recess will be available at the locations listed above and on all buses.
