An exhibition of photographs of Holocaust memorials and public sculptures in Europe, Israel and the United States will be held in conjunction with the Wallenberg Lecture. The exhibition, “In Fitting Memory: Perspectives on an Evolving Tradition of Holocaust Memorials,” will be on display in the Slusser Gallery in the Art and Architecture Building Feb. 17–26.
The gallery is open to the public 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. A reception marking the opening of the exhibition, which was organized by the Museum of Jewish Heritage in cooperation with the Judah L. Magnes Museum in Berkeley, Calif., will begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 17).
The College of Architecture and Urban Planning (CAUP) established the Raoul Wallenberg Lecture in 1971, a result of efforts led by alumnus Sol King, who had been a classmate of Wallenberg’s. In addition to the CAUP series, the University has sponsored a Wallenberg Medal and Lecture since 1990.
