Turner chronicling lives of older adults

The Turner Geriatric Clinic has received a grant from the Area Agency on Aging 1B to conduct living histories with older adults (ages 60 and over), with an emphasis on African-American senior citizens to chronicle the lives of older adults and how they have coped with life’s struggles.

African-American senior citizens have been matched with young African-American trained volunteers from local high schools for individual reviews.

The clinic will hold a living history group 1:30–3:30 p.m. Oct. 1 in the first floor conference room, Turner Clinic, 1010 Wall St.

Persons interested in participating in individual or group interviews may call Diane Daley, project coordinator, 764-2556.
