Armed robbery reported in West Quad

Three students reported they were robbed Dec. 4 in a West Quadrangle residence hall room by three acquaintances around 10 p.m. During the incident, a small handgun reportedly was brandished before the suspects fled from the building. The Division of Public Safety and Security issued a crime alert. Details of the incident have been posted to the DPSS website and updates will be provided as they are available.

Subject struck by bottle off-campus

A student reported she had been struck in the head by a thrown bottle while attending a tailgate party near Oakland and Hill streets between 11 and 11:25 a.m. Nov. 25. The victim did not see who threw the bottle. She was provided medical assistance.

Domestic assault reported in Northwood Apartments

A subject reported that a family member had assaulted other family members on multiple occasions, including in early November. Resources were provided to the family and the investigation was submitted to the prosecutor’s office for review of possible charges.

Burglary discovered at Pinckney observatory

Unauthorized access to the Curtis Observatory by unknown subjects was discovered Nov. 27 at U-M’s Stinchfield Woods property in Pinckney. Padlocks to the building were stolen, but no other property was missing.

Suspect arrested in burglary at Michigan Stadium

A 26-year-old visitor was arrested around 3:20 a.m. Nov. 27 for breaking into Michigan Stadium. He was found in possession of food items from the stadium, processed and released pending warrant authorization.

Moped stolen outside West Quad

An unsecured moped reportedly was stolen from outside West Quadrangle residence hall between 10:30 p.m. Nov. 8 and 12:30 p.m. Nov. 9. There are no suspects.
