Youth Theatre Fellows Camp returns

The University of Michigan Detroit Center, in partnership with Plowshares Theatre Company, presents the fifth annual Youth Theatre Fellows residential youth theatre camp.  From June 22-28, the program invites students in grades eight-12 with an interest in theater to experience the world of performing arts. Face Off Blood Challenge against MSU continues through Feb. 25.

Research Faculty Award nominations due

Nominations are now being accepted for the annual Research Faculty Awards, established by the U-M Office of Research to recognize the achievements of research faculty at all levels. Divorce and Break-Up Support Group offers sessions

The six-week Dealing with Divorce and Break-Up Support Group is a six-week support group for those experiencing divorce or other romantic break-ups. The free group will address coping skills, stress management, and the stages/process of divorce and break-up. There will be group discussion and educational components. Sessions are from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. beginning March 10 and ending April 14, at the Administrative Services Building, 1009 Greene St. Contact Tina Weymouth at 734-936-8660 to register.

New website highlights U-M arts and culture

The University of Michigan has launched a new website that will serve as a gateway to its extensive arts and cultural offerings. With students, visitors and the greater U-M community in mind, the site highlights relevant news, events, exhibitions, academic programs and projects that represent the culture of creativity and collaboration on campus. To showcase U-M’s long tradition of excellence in arts presentation and education, it includes long form story features, an interactive cultural map, and detailed listings for arts organizations and cultural collections.
