Michigan Law alumnus Fred Krupp, ’78, president of the Environmental Defense Fund, will deliver the keynote address Thursday for the 2015 Environmental Law & Policy Conference: Competing Visions for a Sustainable Future.
Krupp’s talk at 4 p.m. in Room 1225 South Hall opens the two-day conference.
In the nearly four decades since his graduation from Michigan Law — and three decades at the helm of the Environmental Defense Fund — Krupp has been a leader in developing the bi-partisan solutions to environmental problems that encourage a sustainable future, at a time of partisan gridlock and inaction on pressing challenges.
Krupp is an influential voice on climate change, energy and sustainability issues, and a champion for harnessing the power of the marketplace to protect the environment. He is co-author with Miriam Horn of the New York Times bestseller “Earth: The Sequel – The Race to Reinvent Energy and Stop Global Warming.”
The address is free and open to the public, and will be followed by a reception. For more information on the fifth annual conference presented by Michigan Law, go to tinyurl.com/pdfx83e.
