UM-Dearborn and UM-Flint have scheduled their Spring Commencement ceremonies, with the Dearborn campus celebrating April 26 and the Flint campus’ celebrations set for May 3-4.
UM-Dearborn
The spring graduation festivities are split into three ceremonies April 26 at the Fieldhouse:
- College of Arts, Sciences and Letters and College of Business, 9 a.m.
- College of Education, Health and Human Services and College of Engineering and Computer Science, 1 p.m.
- Doctoral and graduate students from all four colleges, 5 p.m.
James Scapa, a 1983 U-M MBA grad, is the featured speaker at both undergraduate ceremonies. Scapa is founder, chair and CEO of Altair, a global leader in computational intelligence software and technology.
Tim Yerdon, an executive leader with SAE Industry Technologies Consortia, is the featured speaker at the 5 p.m. ceremony for graduate students.
UM-Flint
UM-Flint will celebrate its May and August graduates May 3-4 at the Riverfront Conference Center:
- College of Arts, Sciences & Education, 11 a.m. May 3.
- School of Nursing, 1:30 p.m. May 3.
- College of Innovation and Technology and School of Management, 11 a.m. May 4.
- College of Health Sciences and School of Management, 1:30 p.m. May 4.
The ceremonies will include messages from Laurence B. Alexander, UM-Flint chancellor, and Yener Kandogan, interim provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs as well as student speakers.
