The Office of the Vice President for Research will honor 12 staff members from across the University of Michigan for their outstanding service and leadership in advancing research, scholarship and creative practice.

Since 2001, OVPR has celebrated the invaluable contributions of staff who play a crucial role in catalyzing, supporting and safeguarding U-M research activity through its Research Staff Recognition Awards

This year, the 12 recipients from nine U-M schools, colleges and units will be recognized on May 22 at the annual Research Staff Recognition Awards ceremony in the Pendleton Room of the Michigan Union. Awardees will also receive a $1,000 personal honorarium.

“The dedication and expertise of our staff are indispensable to the university’s thriving research community,” said Arthur Lupia, interim vice president for research and innovation.
