University gearing up for a new academic year

Faculty, staff and students return to campus en masse as a new academic year begins Aug. 26. The University Record has published several stories that will help faculty and staff prepare for the fall semester and beyond.

U-M has many resources for faculty and staff to bolster their well-being, career aspirations and health. Here is a list of some of the specific programs to help support U-M faculty and staff.

Anyone taking a walk around campus might notice several major construction projects underway, including U-M Health’s D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion and the Hadley Family Recreation & Well-Being Center. Here is a look at some of those major projects.

Rebekah Modrak, professor of art and design in the Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design, has begun her term as the 2024-25 chair of the nine-member Senate Advisory Committee on University Affairs, as well as the 77-member Senate Assembly and the Faculty Senate. She provided answers to questions posed by the Record in advance of the start of the school year.
