A staff member reported Jan. 27 being touched inappropriately by a patient at University Hospital. Support resources were provided to the victim. This case is currently under investigation.
A student reported Jan. 27 being assaulted by an acquaintance at Bursley Hall. Support resources were provided to the victim. This case is currently under investigation.
Aggravated assault reported
Multiple staff at University Hospital on Jan. 4 reported being assaulted by a patient. This case is currently under investigation.
Hoax bomb threat
A bomb threat to a construction site at 1325 E. Ann St. was called in by an unknown individual. This case is under investigation.
Burglaries reported
A resident reported Jan. 9 an attempted break-in at 328 John St. between Dec. 19, 2023, and Jan. 5. This case is under investigation.
A traffic stop was conducted Jan. 27 on a suspicious vehicle leaving the area of Crisler Center. Upon investigation, four non-affiliates were taken into custody for breaking and entering. Criminal charges were authorized on all suspects, who were arraigned Jan. 29.

The Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center supplies reports to inform the university community about incidents of sexual assault, domestic violence and stalking that are reported to SAPAC. SAPAC is a resource for survivors, their families and friends, U-M personnel (faculty, staff and U-M Police officials) and non-U-M personnel (e.g., high school counselors). The table reflects only the number of cases reported to SAPAC, and includes reporting by faculty, staff and students. The numbers do not necessarily reflect the number of incidents on campus, nor do they reflect the number of cases that occurred in a specific time frame. They also do not reflect the number of cases that may have been reported to police.
