President Santa J. Ono will outline his initial priorities for the university when he delivers his first major address to the campus community Nov. 17.
The Leadership Welcome will take place before an invited in-person audience and will be available for the public to watch online starting at 8:30 a.m.
Ono, who took over as U-M’s 15th president Oct. 14, plans to share news about new commitments to staff, faculty and the academic enterprise, to carbon neutrality and sustainability, and to financial investment strategies.
He also will call for a strategic visioning process that will involve all three U-M campuses. He will further discuss his overall plans during his formal inauguration March 7, 2023.
