Accolades

Lydia Bieri, assistant professor of mathematics, LSA, has been awarded a National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development Award for her project Geometric-Analytic Investigations of Spacetimes and their Nonlinear Phenomena. The award is the NSF’s most prestigious recognition supporting junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholars through outstanding research, excellent education and the integration of education and research within the mission of their organizations.

Dr. Matthew L. Boulton has been selected as editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Preventive Medicine by The American College of Preventive Medicine and the Association for Prevention Teaching and Research. He is an associate professor of epidemiology, health management and policy, and preventive medicine at the School of Public Health, and of internal medicine at the U-M Health System. He also is director of the Preventative Medicine Residency Program, and of the Center of Excellence for Public Health Workforce Studies.
