The Ann Arbor Summer Festival is back June 14-July 7, with Mainstage shows at the Power Center for the Performing Arts, and free live music and films through the Top of the Park (TOP) series on Ingalls Mall, Central Campus.
Mainstage highlights include a new Ira Glass show featuring stories and dance, British art-pop group Django Django, and world music stars Amadou & Mariam. Top of the Park performers include rising indie music group Wild Belle with former U-M student Elliot Bergman, and The New Orleans Bingo! Show with a multimedia stage experience. The TOP season includes 13 feature films, six tasting events, and a roving performance troupe.

Free Mouth Guard Clinic June 22
The School of Dentistry presents its annual Mouth Guard Clinic June 22. Amateur athletes who plan to play football, ice hockey, basketball soccer or other sports can be fitted for a free custom mouth guard at the school, 1011 N. University Ave.
No appointment is necessary. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. From 9 a.m.-noon, dental and dental hygiene students will make mouth guards for the first 120 athletes ages 5 and older. A brief medical history and consent form must be filled out by each student athlete or a parent or guardian if the student athlete is younger than 18. Wait time is about 30 minutes.
Each athlete will be greeted by a dental student and asked to choose the color of their mouth guard and if they would like a strap attached. The athlete will then spend about 15-20 minutes in a dental chair while an impression of their teeth is taken. The finished product will be available for pickup about two hours later.
Before returning home, athletes will try on the mouth guard. A student dentist or clinical faculty member will check to ensure a proper fit and need for any final adjustments.
