Accolades

Emily J. Nicklett, assistant professor at the School of Social Work, has been selected as a Health and Aging Policy Fellow. She will partner with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to examine policies that enhance mobility of older adults in their communities. This program provides health professionals with the experience and skills necessary to make a positive contribution to health policies affecting older Americans.

Curtis E. Huntington, associate chair, professor of mathematics and program director, Department of Mathematics, LSA, is being presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. It is awarded to a volunteer for contributions made to the conference, or the profession in general. Huntington also has been awarded the 2012 Jarvis Farley Service Award by The American Academy of Actuaries. The award also recognizes his contributions to the actuarial profession through volunteer efforts.
