Named

Anthony Bloch, Alexander Ziwet Collegiate Professor of Mathematics and professor of mathematics, LSA, has been named a Fellow of the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics for 2012. Fellows are SIAM members who are recognized by their peers as distinguished for their contributions to applied mathematics and computational science. Bloch was cited for contributions to the dynamics and control of mechanical systems.

Award

Sally Lusk, professor emerita at the School of Nursing, received the 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Midwest Nursing Research Society for her career and research contributions to the field of nursing. Lusk was instrumental in establishing a number of academic programs and conducting research that has helped create and maintain safe workplace environments.
