Borland named director of The Career Center

Kerin Borland has been named director of The Career Center, a unit within the Division of Student Affairs.

Since 1999 Borland has assumed increasing responsibilities and the lead role in The Career Center, which provides students with the support and resources they need to make informed career decisions. The office works with students to “create and tell their stories” about their Michigan experience so they realize success when interacting with employers and graduate/professional admissions committees.

Concurrently, Teresa LaMarco has been promoted from associate director to senior associate director. Since 1999 she has worked closely with Borland to provide overall leadership to The Career Center.

“Kerin and Terri will continue to lead The Career Center with innovative vision, seasoned judgment, and mature supervision,” says Simone Himbeault Taylor, associate vice president for Student Affairs. “We are fortunate to have such solid, experienced professionals leading a very talented and committed staff.”
