Pianist Andras Schiff has recorded complete cycles of Bach, Mozart, and Schubert, but he has taken his time with Beethoven. He performed the complete cycle in London for the first time in 2004 and repeats it in only four U.S. cities (Ann Arbor, New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles) over the next two seasons. He is performing Beethoven Sonata Project Concerts 1 and 2 at 8 p.m. Oct. 3 and 5 at Rackham Auditorium. Beethoven Sonata Project Concerts 3 and 4 will take place in April, 2008.
