Celtic folk trio Cairn to Cairn are flutist and vocalist Kelly McDermott and guitarist-vocalist Terry Farmer, with guest artist Rob Crozier on bass to create an eclectic blend of musical genres. McDermott maintains a Suzuki flute studio in Ann Arbor, and performs regularly as an artist-masterclass clinician throughout the United States and Europe as well as with many symphony orchestras. Farmer studied classical guitar at the University of Denver and Cleveland Institute of Music and has performed as a singer/songwriter at folk festivals around the country. Expect to hear art music by Piazolla and Villa Lobos, Celtic music, folk songs and original compositions. The group performs at 12:10 p.m. Sept. 13 at the University Hospital main lobby.
