Two crime alerts issued for incidents in Northwood Community
Residents in Northwood Community apartments reported to the Division of Public Safety and Security three incidents of home invasions in December. DPSS issued two Crime Alerts for these incidents. There have been no additional incidents reported in the area.
Armed robbery reported in West Quad
Two sexual assaults by known visitors reported
Two students reported to police in separate incidents from Oct. 7 that they had been assaulted in residence hall rooms by invited guests. One was reported to have occurred in West Quadrangle and the other in Bursley Hall. Both investigations are ongoing.
Trotter House burglarized, no property taken
Staff at the Trotter House found a broken window on Sept. 25. During the investigation, it was determined that an unknown subject had broken the window and entered the building around 1:30 a.m. the previous night. No property was reported missing.
Dispute at Laundry Services between two employees
Two employees reportedly were involved in a dispute Aug. 1 at Laundry Services. During the incident, one subject reportedly brandished a hammer. No one was injured. The investigation has been submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office for review for possible assault charges.

Student charged with assault against another student
A student was arraigned Dec. 12 on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon after he allegedly threatened another student with a knife on Dec. 9. The victim was not injured. Court proceedings are ongoing.
Reward offered for assault at the Arb
The University of Michigan is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect in an Oct. 7 sexual assault in Nichols Arboretum.
Two crime alerts issued in early October
Sexual assault reported in parking lot
On July 19, a subject reported that she had been sexually assaulted by a man she knew while parked in the Krause Street parking lot July 17. The investigation is continuing.
No damage from fire in parking structure
Charred discarded cardboard was found in the Palmer Drive parking structure around 8:30 a.m. May 22. No active fire or smoke was found at the time. No other damage was found. There are no suspects.
Sexual assault reported at East Quad
A student reported that she had been inappropriately grabbed by an unnamed student in an East Quadrangle residence hall room in the early morning of April 9. She later stated she did not want to pursue criminal charges and was provided support resources.
Employee accused of assaulting colleague
A university employee is reported to have inappropriately grabbed a colleague March 18 in the workplace. The suspect has been suspended and the investigation has been submitted to the prosecutor’s office for review and authorization of charges.

Three students assaulted on Diag, suspects arrested
Three students were assaulted as they walked on the Diag around 2 a.m. Dec. 23. Three suspects, all visitors, later were located and arrested.
Two visitors charged in domestic assaults
In November, two visitors at Mott Children’s Hospital were charged in separate incidents of domestic violence at the Hospital.
