Tuesday is the voter registration deadline for the Nov. 8 election, and in his latest On the Agenda post President Mark Schlissel urges all eligible voters in the U-M community to participate in “one of our most important responsibilities.” A mobile Secretary of State office will be on campus Tuesday for anyone wishing to register.

An advisory committee has been appointed and a search firm has been retained to launch the search for the university’s next vice president for communications. President Mark Schlissel has appointed a 12-member search advisory committee chaired by LSA Dean Andrew Martin.

U-M faculty, staff, retirees, spouses and other qualified adults covered under a university health plan can receive their flu vaccination on campus without paying an out-of-pocket fee. Vaccinations are available at various locations on Ann Arbor’s Central and North campuses and at UM-Dearborn through Nov. 7.

Renovated IMSB
Campus leaders and members of the U-M community gathered Thursday to celebrate the grand opening of the renovated Intramural Sports Building, which underwent 16 months of work to transform the 1928 building and create spaces to meet the recreational, health, and wellness needs of today’s students, while maintaining its historical architecture. The Department of Occupational Safety & Environmental Health has redesigned its website to modernize the look, streamline information and orient the site more toward campus community needs. The redesign also brings back the popular “Topics A-Z” that disappeared in the last revision a few years ago.
