Individual, team winners of President’s Staff Innovation Award named

An individual and team have been selected as the recipients of the second annual President’s Staff Innovation Award.

Randi Johnson and Emalee Maus of the University Housing MCard Office are the recipients of the team award for creative use of existing resources and student advocacy to create a welcoming environment for new students.

Staff nominations are being accepted for the non-union staff representative to the U-M Police Department Oversight Committee. This committee receives and makes recommendations regarding grievances against any police officer or the UMPD.

MHealthy is now recruiting new members for its MHealthy Champions program.  Champions are staff and faculty members who volunteer to help create a culture of health within their work areas.

Shared Services Center leader named; first round of feedback over

The first wave of faculty and staff engagement for feedback on U-M's Shared Services Center was recently completed, and project leaders announced Wednesday that Pamela Gabel will serve as the new center's executive director.

She will start her job on April 28 in preparation for the center's opening this summer.

Three weeks left to earn $100 with MHealthy Rewards

With three weeks left to complete MHealthy Rewards, more than 14,000 benefits-eligible faculty and staff have completed a wellness screening, and more than 17,000 have completed the health questionnaire. The universitywide goal is 47 percent completion of both.

MHealthy is accepting nominations for its eighth annual Ergonomics Awards, given to university units and employees that have implemented ergonomic solutions in the workplace.

Ergonomics is the science of fitting the work­place to the worker, often resulting in the promotion of safety, health, productivity and job satisfaction.
