The inauguration ceremony for President-Elect Mark S. Schlissel has been scheduled for Sept. 5.

Schlissel becomes the university's president July 14. The Sept. 5 event at Hill Auditorium will celebrate the start of his tenure as the 14th person to lead the university since it was founded in 1817.

Friends, family members, and campus partners are invited to attend a memorial program to honor the lives and accomplishments of student members of the U-M family who have died during this academic year.

The 2014 Campus Memorial is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Anderson Room of the Michigan Union. A light reception will follow.
