    Anthony Kolenic named director of Matthaei-Nichols

    Anthony J. Kolenic will become director of the Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum. Kolenic’s five-year appointment is effective March 1, 2021, and he succeeds Bob Grese, who retired in June 2020.

    Eight Exploration Pilot Grants of between $7,000 to $17,000 have been awarded to staff, faculty and students as part of the presidential Arts Initiative, announced by President Mark Schlissel last fall.
