Faculty and staff have several options for flu vaccination’s this fall. The first of several walk-in flu shot clinics begin this week, and are free for employees and spouses/OQAs who present their U-M health insurance card. Options for Michigan Medicine faculty, staff, students and volunteers are offered separately.

The university remains among the nation’s best public universities according to the 2019 U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges rankings released today. U-M came in at No. 4 among public universities — behind UCLA, Berkeley and the University of Virginia — and moved up one spot from last year to No. 27 overall.
|
|
U-M leaders are encouraging the campus community to nominate individuals to be considered for honorary degrees by the Honorary Degree Committee. Nominees may be individuals who have advanced their field of endeavor in significant ways, or have made compelling contributions to society.

The International Institute has been awarded $12.9 million from the U.S. Department of Education under its competitive and prestigious Title VI program. Five area studies centers have been designated National Resource Centers, and six were awarded Foreign Language and Area Studies fellowships.
