University faces federal Title IX investigation

The Office for Civil Rights in the U.S. Department of Education says it will investigate whether U-M "failed to promptly and equitably respond to complaints, reports, and/or incidents of sexual violence of which it had notice ... and, as a result, students were subjected to a sexually hostile environment."

White House announces manufacturing hub with U-M involvement

U-M officials joined members of Congress and other officials Tuesday for the formal White House announcement of a $148 million high-tech manufacturing research institute, which U-M will help lead. It is set to open this spring in Canton.
