Old School: Cap Night

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, an early June ritual known as Cap Night saw U-M freshmen toss their distinctive gray caps, worn throughout the year under threat of hazing, into a bonfire in the area then known as Sleepy Hollow.

Richard Spencer will not come to U-M this semester

U-M will continue to consider a request from representatives of white supremacist Richard Spencer to rent space on the Ann Arbor campus, but no potential dates are being considered before the end of the academic year.
