U recognized in ‘Best Colleges’ rankings

U-M ranks fourth among top national public universities and 26th among 260 national universities in U.S. News & World Report “Best Colleges” rankings released August 22.

The Stephen M. Ross School of Business undergraduate program again ranks 3rd nationally, tied with U.C. Berkeley, and is among the top five schools in five specialties: management (1st), finance (3rd), international business (4th), marketing (2nd) and product/operations (4th).

The College of Engineering undergraduate program ranks 7th nationally. In specialty rankings, engineering is among the top five in five specialty areas: aerospace engineering (3rd), engineering science/engineering physics (2nd), industrial/manufacturing (2nd), materials (2nd) and mechanical (2nd).

U-M again was recognized in three areas of “Programs to Look For”: undergraduate research/creative projects, learning communities and service learning.
