As she undertakes her second five-year term, Coleman plans to outline new goals and initiatives for the University.

Coleman became president in August 2002, and the Board of Regents has approved a second five-year contract that extends her presidency to 2012. Regents have noted that her accomplishments include a greater emphasis on interdisciplinary teaching and research; an active and vocal commitment to diversity in higher education; and successful fundraising to support the work of faculty, students and staff.

Coleman’s campus address begins at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Founders Room of the Alumni Association. The public is welcome.
