Pizza driver assaulted

A Domino’s Pizza driver was assaulted Dec. 9 in Lot NW41 (off McIntyre) after making a delivery. Three males with small baseball bats demanded the driver give up his cash. The suspects then fled the scene through the woods. The driver returned to the Domino’s store to file a report. This follows a similar incident the week before in Ann Arbor. Domino’s Pizza is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons involved in this robbery. Call the Department of Public Safety (DPS) Tip Line, (734) 763-9180, with any information regarding the robbery.

CCRB larcenies solved

Two individuals not affiliated with the University, who were arrested by Ann Arbor Police Dec. 6 on other charges, have been connected with at least six recent larcenies in the Central Campus Recreation Building (CCRB). All of the larcenies were of personal property that had been left unattended.

Stolen parking permit recovered

A parking permit that had been reported stolen in September was recovered Nov. 28 from a vehicle in the lot adjacent to Pierpont Commons. The vehicle owner said he had purchased the permit from a Web site. Investigation of the theft continues.

Counterfeit money passed

Three counterfeit bills were passed on campus in November. Staff at the Wendy’s restaurant in the Michigan Union reported a subject passing a $50 bill Nov. 15, while Athletics Department staff discovered a counterfeit $50 bill and a counterfeit $20 bill after basketball games at the end of the month. The investigations of the incidents continue.

Embezzlement discovered at McDonald’s

A staff member at the McDonald’s restaurant in Pierpont Commons reported Nov. 30 that $661 had been taken from the safe. An investigation of the incident continues.

Tire punctured in Church St. carport

A victim reported two tires were punctured at the Church St. carport, which makes a total of six punctures to the same vehicle since Nov. 16. DPS is working with the victim to identify the suspect.

Computers stolen from Rackham

Eight computers were stolen from the first floor of the Horace H. Rackham Building Nov. 27. Unknown suspects apparently entered through unlocked exterior windows. Investigation of the incident continues.

Fight occurs at Bursley

A U-M student and an Eastern Michigan University student, along with several other people, were involved in a fight in Bursley Hall Nov. 12. Minor injuries were sustained by the combatants, but no treatment was sought. Furniture from a nearby room was damaged in the process.
